Specimen Shells
Dear customers, welcome to our specimen shell shop!
All of our specimen shells are hand selected and described as accurately as possible. Any defects are noted so you can make the right choice for that perfect specimen for your collection. Any Item that does not meet with your satisfaction may be returned for refund or credit. We use the grading standards as noted below.
Our Specimen Shell Grading Standards
GEM: Shells without noticeable blemish or flaw, shells that are adult and of average size.
F+G: Shells with minor blemish or flaw that in no way detracts from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size.
F++: Shells with noticable blemishes which do not detract from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size.
F+: Shells with growth lines and nacre blemishes. These shells display well and represent good value for the species.
FINE: Shells with chip, juvenile or fresh dead.
Any shell we feel falls in between the above categories will have further description.
Commercial and craft items will be listed as appropriate and will not be termed "specimens"
Policies:
All payments must be received within 10 days of purchase. We Must hear from you via email or phone to Robert Marchiselli USA within 3 business days or we reserve the right to relist items. Please email us if you wish to combine your orders. Refunds, store credit or replacements will be given on any unsatisfactory items. Acceptable methods of payment are check, money order, Credit Card via Paypal. Paypal orders must add 4% to cover Paypal fees. Items are shipped within 3 business days of receiving payment.
