Antique Cardboard Christmas Ornaments

German city of Dresden was the homeland of silver and golden painted cardboard ornaments. First Dresden embossed pressed cardboard ornaments were made in 1890s, but probably it's happened some early. Cardboard animals, fruits, people figures became very popular among German children. People decorated their even green Christmas Trees with Dresden cardboard ornaments as well as glass and cotton ornaments. Also, Pressed cardboard ornaments used on birthday's partys and weddings as well.
